The Arc Mercer Shows Off Artwork at Sandoz Princeton
Individuals with Special Needs Display their Artistic Talents
Princeton, NJ - For the month of June 2016, the artists of The Arc Mercer will be represented on the “feature wall” at the Sandoz pharmaceutical headquarters on Route 1 in Princeton. The display will give our talented artists yet another platform to expose the community to their artwork. All of the artwork that will be on display is done by individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The Arc Mercer is an organization that serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Mercer County. Employees of Sandoz regularly volunteer with The Arc Mercer as a part of the pharmaceutical company’s mission to support local charitable organizations. This partnership has led Jessica Barnes of Sandoz to invite the artists of The Arc Mercer’s art program to display their artwork on the “feature wall”, a highly trafficked area at Sandoz headquarters that is reserved for local art groups to display their work.
The Arc Mercer arts programs strive to create opportunities for community involvement in the arts. We are grateful to Sandoz for acknowledging the importance of local art groups such as The Arc Mercer’s art program in bringing awareness to the individuals that we serve, and allowing them to contribute to their communities in a meaningful way.
